About Salt Spring Island
Salt Spring Island, located in the Salish Sea between Vancouver Island and the BC mainland, is one of the most beautiful of the southern Gulf Islands.
Famous for its annual open-air produce and artisan markets, it honours a long history of agriculture and locally created arts and crafts. In the markets and community halls you’ll find an amazing variety of fine arts and crafts: from jewelry to jams, guitars to chocolates, from breads and ice cream to woven cloth and leather bags.
Self-conducted island Studio Tours connect visitors with artists, musicians, writers, weavers, and photographers who represent a wide variety of unique local talents.
